Lucky you, living in Lake Como , I stayed at Cadenabbia and went to Bellagio on the ferry, my favourite place! There was a man who had a bar at he looked very much like Billy Clinton. His Dad used to escort people across the road to sit at the café they owned on the waterside. What a lovely couple of men, they made us so welcome. But then that is the Italian way! I would love to write a novel set at Lake Como one day.

 

My first publisher, Robert Hale, stopped publishing the kind of historicals I wrote as well as con temporaries. I went onto write con temporary and historical for Whiskey Creek Press in the States. I thought I would try romantic suspense to try and get in the European market once more. That was my sole reason but then I discovered that I really love the genre, so I wrote another two books. Che fortunata, vivere vicino al Lago di Como. Io sono stata a Cadenabbia e sono andata a visitare Bellagio ,il mio posto preferito, con il traghetto. C'era il proprietario del bar che somigliava tantissimo a Bill Clinton. Il suo padre dirigeva gli ospiti verso il loro bar , che era sul molo. Erano due uomini molto gentili, ci hanno fatto sentire a casa. Ma, dopotutto, questa è l'Italia. Vorrei scrivere un giorno un romanzo ambientato sul Lago di Como.

La mia prima casa editrice, Robert Hale, ha smesso di pubblicare il tipo di romanzi storici e contemporanei che scrivevo io. Allora ho cominciato a scrivere i romanzi di questo genere per una casa editrice negli USA, la Whiskey Creek Press. Ho pensato che potrei ritornare sul mercato europeo con il genere romantic suspence. Questa è stata la unica ragione per il cambiamento, ma poi ho scoperto che, in effetti, questo genere mi piaceva. Così, ho scritto in seguito altri due libri.
