Dream heroes
Alcuni eroi da sogno...

translation of comment # 1 ( Raffaella )
Oh my Loretta Chase...OH MY LORETTA CHASE!!!
May I swoon, make a bow, do the wave, unroll the red carpet... not necessarily in this order?
What else can I tell you, Loretta, besides what everybody keeps telling you, that is that you're a wonderful author and Lord of scoundrels is the most beautiful book I read so far?
I can only imagine how many times you've been told this already... I'm too touched and thrilled to ask you more than a couple of banal questions, and I have to confess I'm feeling more than a bit dumbfounded...
Many of your books feature Italian heroes or are set in Italy, why this choice?
Did you take your inspiration for Lord Dain's character by anyone specifically?
thanks a lot in advance,
Raffaella
translation comment # 2 ( Cristiana )
Three reasons for thanking you dear Loretta:
1 - thank you for accepting to talk with us
2 - thank you for LORD OF SCOUNDRELS, a WONDERFUL book, to read in our worst moments - it's naturally anti-depressant!
3 - thanks for this SPLENDID sentence :
History shows us many different ways for women to become "fallen." They were ostracized for having a love affair or bearing a child out of wedlock or being divorced--or even if people merely suspected they'd misbehaved. (Men could do the same things and not get into trouble!) Each of the ways to be "fallen" offers a way to create a different heroine and a different story, some connected to other stories, and some not. Then the fun is in showing how the heroine deals with her problem and even triumphs over it.
and finally all my compliments for this TERRIFIC excerpt of YOUR SCANDALOUS WAYS !
Just a question about Francesca to conclude: did she too have a unhappy childhood ? Is she a "true" bad girl or simply she had no choice but becoming a bad girl?
