A sincere thanks to Mrs Balogh, for this interview. And I'd like to say you that since some years you are one of my favourite authors. I guess I've read about 30 of your books that have been translated in Italian, and recently I'm reading them in original, for not having to wait long translation times (for instance in these days I'm reading Huxtable series' book dedicated to Margaret - wow, now it's her time to make a life for herself!).
One of the reason I love your books is that your characters are always "real" people, they aren't stereotypes of the genre. Very often they are heroes and heroines with a lot of character, and sometimes they have had a difficult life, and they didn't always behave in the right way.
And so your stories, although fictionous, could seem very real, they don't appear like adult tales, but like plausible stories.
Even for this reason I don't think that the question of the interviewer, about the "big misunderstanding" narrative expedient applies to your romances (I never had this impression, in your case).
Well, I don't know what I may specifically ask you, a part from the request to keep on writing in this way.
Oh, yes, a little curiosity: do you think you will always set your romances mainly during Regency, with some excursion in Georgian era, or maybe in the future there is the possibility to try different times, or even contemporary?
Thank you for your kind availability, Mary, and a loving greeting.
Roberta
