Hi folks! Thanks for coming,

Hi folks! Thanks for coming, and especially thanks to Maet for all her translation work! I'm going to answer everyone in a bunch.

Hi Maristella. I'm glad to have my books come out in Italy, too. If you can stretch your "tastes" to include vampires, all my Midnight titles have real historical settings. Only the characters are fantastical.

Hatsheput: LOL. If I thought I was mentioning the hero's sexual state too much, I wouldn't have done it! Everyone has different tastes about these things, and I've learned--for sanity's sake--to suit myself. Thus far, my publishers haven't told me I've gone too far.

As for the language, current American expectation is for erotic romance to use what we call "plain English" terms. Every author varies in how "plain" she likes to get, and of course so do readers. Some prefer that everything be clear, and others like the author to leave things more to the imagination. I expect I lean toward liking detail. To me, that is evocative. I don't know how to compare my own level of bluntness to the terms the Italian translater used, since I don't speak Italian. Publishers are very much driven by their pocketbooks. If it turns out the translation is too coarse for too many of their readers, they will probably adjust their style.

I wouldn't have the least interest in writing about Hugh Hefner and his bunny girls. Playgirl was first published in the 50s, and Hefner was an important pioneer in encouraging Americans to be more open about their sexuality--which I think is a healthy thing. That said, I'd much rather make up my own stories!

Marianna!! Thanks so much for all the compliments. I'm very glad you enjoyed Beyond Innocence. I hope you like Beyond Seduction, too!

Antonella: I hope you like Beyond Seduction, too. Nick is more promise than reality of strength at the beginning of the book, but by the end I like to think he is as courageous as Merry, who is a bit outrageous. I love writing bad girls!

Thank you, Lidiag. "Foolishly" loving Edward sounds very nice to this author! I hope you enjoy Nick and Merry's story, as well.
