LOVE SONGS – CANZONI D’AMORE

What’s better than music to talk about love? Only romance novels, perhaps ;-)

Tender and romantic, or funny and witty, sad, passionate, aggressive or sensual.. there are thousands of shades in songs, for thousands of different feelings; videoclips help expressing them so well that often you cannot think of one without the other.

And here we are with the monthly videoclip of one of our favourite love songs. Enjoy !

Canzoni tenere e romantiche, oppure buffe e divertenti, tristi o appassionate, aggressive o sensuali… ci sono mille sfumature musicali, per mille sentimenti diversi; ed i video aiutano ad esprimerle, completandole così bene che spesso canzone e video sono tanto collegati tra loro da non riuscire più a pensare all’una senza l’altro.

It’s Halloween, time for witches and magic… and talking about witches, how not to think of Madonna and this videoclip?

"Frozen" was released by Madonna as a single in February 1998 anticipating her seventh album “Ray of Light”, and it quickly topped the charts in several countries worldwide. "Frozen" was seen as a "big comeback" for Madonna after the blackout which followed her late 80s’ golden period, despite sporadically high sales of some singles such as "Don't Cry for Me Argentina",: it became one of hers biggest ever hits and is still praised as being one of her best songs.

The music video for "Frozen"was shot in the Indian Well Valley of the Mojave Desert (California), and was clearly inspired by the movies “The English Patient” and “The Sheltering Sky”: thanks to the stunning special effects, it won an MTV Video Music Award for in 1998.

In the lyrics, Madonna complains about the coldness of her partner: he’s frozen inside, his heart is closed and sees only what he wants to see – so how can they really be together?

But every woman is hiding a sorceress, as the video prooves perfectly… no doubts Madonna will find out a solution to “defrost” the guy, with or without magic! ;-)

Siamo quasi ad Halloween, tempo di streghe e di magia… e parlando di streghe, come non pensare a Madonna e a questo video?

“Frozen” è il singolo che, pubblicato nel febbraio 1998, ha anticipato l'uscita del settimo album di Madonna “Ray of Light”, raggiungendo velocemente la cima delle classifiche di tutto il mondo. "Frozen" ha segnato il grande ritorno di Madonna dopo il blackout seguito - malgrado gli isolati successi di alcuni singoli, quali "Don't Cry for Me Argentina" - al suo periodo d’oro di fine anni ’80: è diventata velocemente uno dei suoi più grandi successi, ed è tuttora considerata una delle sue migliori.

Il videoclip di "Frozen" è stato girato nella Indian Well Valley del Deserto Mojave (California ), ed è chiaramente ispirato ai film “Il paziente inglese” e “Il tè nel deserto”: grazie ai suoi stupefacenti effetti speciali, ha vinto nel 1998 il premio MTV Video Music Award.

Nel testo della canzone, Madonna si lamenta della freddezza del suo partner: è gelido dentro, il suo cuore è chiuso e vede solo ciò che vuol vedere – come può esserci un vero rapporto, tra di loro?

Ma in ogni donna c’è nascosta un’incantatrice, come dimostra perfettamente il video… scommettiamo che Madonna riuscirà a trovare una soluzione per “scongelare” il suo lui, con o senza magia ? ;-)
