FROM LAURA KINSALE
#24 Thank you, Vale, I'm really happy that you are enjoying my books. I too hope there will be more translations in the near future.

#/25 Thank YOU, Sonia. To be in company with Georgette Heyer is a very special compliment to me.
******
#26 Cris, now that is really something, that you decided to study English because of my books. I'm really pleased. I'm glad you commented on my site, and please continue to do so.

#32 Naan, you noticed something that many readers miss--the absent point of view for Faelan and Christian. I also did this in Shadowheart with Allegreto. It's a technique that I think can make character emotions even more intense, if used carefully. Thank you!

#28 Thank you, Veronica. Different readers seem to like different ones of my books, so I hope you enjoy FFTS.

#37 Teresa, that's an excellent question. There are many authors I admire (you can see a list on my website at http://www.laurakinsale.com/love/ ) though I can't think of a book I wish I'd written myself. I wish I could write as well as John Fowles, if I had to choose one.

#38 Milly, I have always loved dogs and horses, since I was little. Dogs are a big part of my life. I told Maet that my animals help keep me "in the real world." That's why I sent the photo of my young Great Pyrenees, Ventoux, just after he was the first one to find a plumbing leak in the garden! He was very proud of himself, as you can see. I always include a different animal character in each book. For MIDSUMMER MOON, it's a hedgehog. In LiF, it's Hubert the prize-winning bull. McLassar the piglet is the animal in UNCERTAIN MAGIC. The animals are always a lot of fun to write. I try to do them realistically, and involve them in the plot (though sometimes that can be difficult.)

#42 Vitty, Thank you, I hope you enjoy reading it!

#43 Eleonora (what a pretty name) I learned a lot about the Friends, myself, when I wrote Flowers. It's a very interesting religion and I've been told by practicing Quakers that I represented it well, which makes me glad. Thank you!
