This interview arrive just at the right time! I just finished Uncertain Magic and I take this opportunity to ask the author two things I didn't understand:
- Why Faelan was under his uncle's tutelage so long, beyond the canonical 21 years?
- WhyRoddy because cannnot hear Faelan thoughts ?
I confess that I would have liked a longer final and some news on the future of Faelan and Roddy and the other characters (Faelan's mother and uncle). I'd like to review Faelan and Roddy in a future book!
Flowers from the Storm has long been in the group of my DIK, like now is Uncertain Magic . I hope others of your book will be translated!

Dear Ms. Kinsale, you don't know what joy it was to open the blog this morning and read your interview. It 'an honour for me to know you and express you my respect and admiration.
Some time ago, a survey asked me wich was my favourite book: for me it was Flowers from the Storm without doubt and over the years that has not changed. It remains the romance that touched me the most, entering my most intimate part.
As a child, adolescent, and young girl I suffered from "speech problems" and difficulties, and Christian intolerance and suffering were very lively and intense for me. The word, that for him was a rare gift of charm, skill and knowledge, was painfully torn as a bridge between his soul and the outside world.
I really loved Maddy, so different from Christian: down to earth, calm, rational. The reverse of the same coin .... where the intense and passionate soul of Christian "warmed" the stiff Maddy... and Maddy's concretness was a balm for Christian'wounds. I could not imagine anyone else alongside with Christian.
I do not know if I finally caught your literary intention, but it still remains one of the most pleasant books I read.
I read the excerpt of your latest book .... I cannot describe the impatience of waiting for the translation!!
My best wishes
PATTY
P.S. Many thanks for the translation.

What a nice surprise you did to me, thanks to Maet and to the bloggers!
Ms. Kinsale I admire you greatly and all of your books translated into Italian gifted me of many emotions. I lived with a person who suffered from a stroke and Flowers from the Storm gave me so much.
I wanted to ask you how a story or a character were born inside of you. Thank you and congratulations.
Cheers to all.
