Surely this book knows no half measures: either you love it or you hate it. I really liked Cry for Passion: it is certainly a romance that doesn't follow the usual standards but I also appreciated it for this. The sexually explicit and crude language does not make me particularly annoyed too, because I think that love is not only feelings and romanticism but also physicality, and that anyone is free to express it as they see fit (in books as in real life). What struck me in this book is the profound loneliness of Rose and Jack, two desperate souls not resigned to their situation, but seeking redemption in each other's arms. I thank Ms.Schone for all the interesting news toy gave us about the Victorian era and I would like to ask youtwo questions:
Do you believe the fact that here in Italy "Cry for Passion" was published before "Scandalous Lovers" made somehow difficult to understand the relationship between Rose and Jack?
And the end of the book is almost like not "concluded", there is not indeed a classic statement of love, as we usually find in romance novels: it is a characteristicof yours or the right conclusion of an unusualstory ?Thanks for you kindness and your openness .And naturally thanks to Maet
