Weirde: I discovered Robin Schone's books just last year but I was struck at once by the huge difference vs. any other romance author. Among her books Scandalous lovers is the one I loved the most, and it's one of my top ten favs. I simply adore unusual romances, whose characters go beyond the standards, and the two main characters of this book truly enthralled me. They made me laugh and cry with them. They are Real, without any doubt and in any sense - so realistic and believable that you feel like seeing them just in face of you, being able to talk with them.

Lois MacMaster Bujold is the only other author whose realism impressed me as much. Someone can remark, these two authors are totally different. That's true. But they share the same ability to portrait characters in an unique way. And this is a precious and scarce gift indeed..

So I'd like to thank Robin for her book which gifted me so many dreams. And I'm eagerly wating to read her next one.

Dear Weirde, thank you so much for the wonderful compliment! SCANDALOUS LOVERS will always hold a special place in my heart, because as you wrote, the characters are REAL. James was such a man of his time - as Frances was a woman of her time - yet they both were going through a mid-life crisis and questioning everything they had never before taken the time to question. Just as many of us do today, once we reach a critical point in our lives. It was very difficult to write another book, because I couldn’t imagine any other characters being as real or as poignant as Frances and James. I’m glad to say I completely fell in love with Rose and Jack in CRY FOR PASSION. Frances and James have key roles in it. I think you’ll love the ending. I know my editor did!
