I discovered Robin Schone's books just last year but I was struck at once by the huge difference vs. any other romance author. Among her books Scandalous lovers is the one I loved the most, and it's one of my top ten favs. I simply adore unusual romances, whose characters go beyond the standards, and the two main characters of this book truly enthralled me. They made me laugh and cry with them. They are Real, without any doubt and in any sense - so realistic and believable that you feel like seeing them just in face of you, being able to talk with them.
Lois MacMaster Bujold is the only other author whose realism impressed me as much. Someone can remark, these two authors are totally different. That's true. But they share the same ability to portrait characters in an unique way. And this is a precious and scarce gift indeed..
So I'd like to thank Robin for her book which gifted me so many dreams. And I'm eagerly wating to read her next one.

I have never read anything by this author so far, I hope to be able to fix this asap, also because I love tormented characters ( and if I have understood correctly it's the case for Robin Schone's heroes, mainly ) are among my favorite ones.
On that respect I'd like to ask Robin: did you write any book whose characters did not go through painful experiences or have a dramatic past ? If this is the case, was building the storyline more difficult than usual or the other way round? If not, are you going to try in future? Thanks in advance.
