Dream heroes
Alcuni eroi da sogno...

Robin you're great !
I did the effort of reading in English because of Gabriel, I was so intrigued by this man so different from the usual heroes of romance novels and his story went far beyond my expectations... I cannot put in words what I have felt reading his story...it's so erotic and emotionally involving; nothing is too much, even the most sensual scenes are "right" for the story.
After Gabriel I could not ignore Michael obviously, since they complete each other.
Then it was Ramiel's turn, so beautiful and tortured, unforgettable.
I particurarly like your heroine being close to my age, because I believe such a rich and full sensuality, free from false modesty and moralism, can be reached only after a certain course of life; it's difficult to be fully aware of yourself at twenty years old.
I finish by telling you once again congratulation, you are very talented in joyning the tipical romance atmosphere to erotism and in creating unforgettable stories with "real" characters.
I'm looking forward to hear about an italian translation of your novels.
Regards
Simona

Thank you for the wonderful compliments, Simona! I’m so glad you enjoyed mes deux anges, and Ramiel. By the way, I didn’t realize that Ramiel is also the name of an angel, until Montana pointed it out. ~waving at Montana~
That’s interesting, what you said about “I believe such a rich and full sensuality, free from false modesty and moralism, can be reached only after a certain course of life.” My agent and I were just talking about that Friday. She said she didn’t really gain a sense of identity until she was 24. And that she didn’t truly appreciate women’s issues until later than that.
THE LOVER was my first book in which the age of the heroine - 36 - was mentioned on the back. My editor was afraid the heroine’s age would turn readers off. I asked, why would it? Why wouldn’t women want to read about heroines their own age? THE LOVER made the USA Today Bestseller’s list, my first book to make it, so I guess the heroine’s age wasn’t a reader turn off. I remember gobbling up Gothic romances when I was 12. The heroines almost always tended to be in their late 20s or even in their early 30s. I remember at the time I thought how nice that I could go to university, find a satisfying job, and then find the love of my life. It took some of the pressure off, I think, of finding Mr. Right.
I’m glad you like my “real” characters. When I wrote AWAKEN, MY LOVE - my first romance - my hero was there more for my heroine than being an actual person with his own needs. Maybe it was an age issue: maybe I wasn’t mature enough to see men as human beings, rather than sex objects! *smile* Actually, it’s more difficult to write outside the box, so to speak, so I suspect it was a matter of not having yet acquired the skills to do so. Ramiel - written a few years later - was my first truly realized hero in a full length novel. Now my heroes are as important to me as my heroines.
Thanks again for your very kind comments. I would love my books to be translated in Italian, so I’m keeping my fingers crossed!
