Such a wonderful surprise to stop by today and find an interview to my favorite author!
Cannot wait to read Ruthless as soon as it hits the shelves, but unfortunately I could not download the prequel. Apparently when it was available for free, download was impossible for the Mac users.
Does anybody know how to do that?
Whatever - Anne Stuart is just great, for me she’s really number one (it sounds like an ad, I know…). I have often read that her bad boys are defined alpha heroes, but imho they are very peculiar alphas. They are the bonafide heirs of the English restoration rakes, which became famous thanks to theatric pieces and to novels such as Clarissa or Dangerous liaisons, with less tragedy and more comedy of course. Or the French libertine literature of the 18th century, which is enchanting. I find in them the same wit, the same disillusionment, all blended in the spirit of the best romance novels. Stuart’s heroes can seduce with just one gaze, and when one reads her novels it feels like one could really see them. I don’t know if Stuart’s books are for everybody, but by sure her writing is not like anybody’s else!
