Just to go back to your previous reply, Elizabeth: yes, I am deeply fascinated by georgian settings - in a way it seems to me that they naturally lead to darker, more dramatic and intriguing plots than regency epoque.

But the best side of these times is imho the shocking contrast between all the frills and laces of both heroes and heroines, their apparent vanity, powdered wigs, high heels, enameled tobacco boxes, and their wild attitude and inner lack of scruples when it comes to get what they want. Like in " Dangerous Liaisons" - or like Anna Wren in Raven prince, who does not hesitate to disguise herself as a whore to get what ( whom ) she wants.

What's your opinion about that ? do you agree ?

Per tornare alla tua precedente risposta, Elizabeth: sì, personalmente sono molto affascinata dall'epoca georgiana - in un certo senso mi sembra che questo tipo di ambientazione conduca naturalmente a trame + dark, + drammatiche ed intriganti dell'epoca regency.

ma la cosa migliore di quest'epoca è, a mio parere, il sorprendente contrasto tra da una parte i pizzi e le leziosità sia degli eroi che delle eroine eroine, la loro ostentata vanità, le parrucche incipriate, i tacchi alti e le tabacchiere istoriate, e dall'altra il loro atteggiamento sfrenato e l'assoluta mancanza di scrupoli quando s tratta di cercare di avere ciò che vogliono. Come nel famoso "Le relazioni pericolose" - oppure come Anna Wren in Raven prince, che non esista a travestirsi da prostituta pur di avere cosa (o, per meglio dire, chi ...) desidera.
